Y.........ellow going green!

Just finished crocheting a new eco-friendly shopping bag. It seems to hold a lot and is quite sturdy. After I give it a few tries on my own, I'll probably make some for my etsy shop. I remember years ago my grandmother always carried what she called a "string bag" in her purse for shopping. So this also reminds me of her. . . another example of life coming full circle!

I think these bags are making a big comeback..Years ago, I remember having a pattern for something like this..Now with all the plastic and trying to get change, these will be very handy.

Yes yes, make some string bags please-they are the perfect thing, especially with summer coming. You could line some with cotten as well.

OH That's fantastic! Did you see my post in my blog about plastic shopping bags killing sea turtles? I'm totally going to use reusable bags now. Good for you! =D
