T.........reasury Queen

This weekend, 11 of my fellow Etsy Bloggers Team and I were lucky enough to be featured by the true Etsy Treasury Queen, Vicki Diane, in one of her famous "Exposed Treasuries". To the right you will see our pictures, most of us with an item we have for sale in our Etsy Shops. If you need any information about Etsy, the premier site for handmade goods, please ask!

The true credit goes to Vicki Diane herself and if you have not visited her shop, you're in for a treat. Her striking jewelry is equaled only by her more striking personality and her delightful sense of humor. Please take a moment to enjoy http://vickidianedesigns.etsy.com

P.........resenting: designsbyvanessa

This month's featured Etsy Blogger is the multi talented Vanessa of http://designsbyvanessa.etsy.com/
She makes some of the most elegant jewelry that I have seen on Etsy and some delightful greeting cards, one of which is shown here. This particular card is one in a set of three, and each in this set makes use of the same color palette but in different prints. Although this set features cupcakes, she also loves birds, and they are prevalent throughout her work. I hope you take a moment to visit her shop soon to see all that she has to offer!

P.........resenting: miesmama!

Creative, eclectic, and artistic, Becky of http://miesmama.etsy.com presents her unique items in stunning manners. She is the Etsy Blogger of the month and deserves the accolades she is accumulating. My "new" favorite piece of hers is a fabric wall hanging, surrounded by embroidery hoops and featuring her favorite flower, the cone flower. If you take a few minutes to browse through her shop, you'll see the cone flower theme in several of her items. This would be an eye catching addition to many styles of decor. Congratulations on being the Etsy Blogger and on your wonderful shop!

F.........avorite summer recipe

The Etsy Bloggers Team is sharing favorite summer recipes. So here is mine. Please note that the first two ingredients are the most important:

Ingredients:

1 husband
1 grill
1 lb. of ground chuck
1 small onion, diced
6 mushrooms, diced
2 Tbs. butter
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
salt and pepper

Preparation:

Tell husband he is the best outdoor cook you know.
Have him get the grill started.
Saute onion and mushrooms in butter.
Blend saute mix with ketchup, cheese , salt and pepper.
Make 8 THIN patties of ground chuck.
Place a spoon of mix on 4 patties.
Place other four patties on top of the first and seal edges completely.
Give to husband to grill.

While he is grilling the burgers give him some chicken breasts, hot dogs and/or other meats to grill so you don't have to cook all week!

T.........reasuries

One of the most rewarding aspects of Etsy is being able to make "treasuries". The object is to showcase 12 other artists by selecting one of their projects and combining all twelve into an eye-pleasing page. Above is one of my most recent treasuries selected from one of my Etsy teams, the Etsy Artists Lounge. Here I based the color scheme on the first item, a fabulous oil called "River" by jashme. These treasuries are available for viewing for about two days; then other folks can get a chance to make one. If you would like to see the items up close, here is a direct link to that treasury and another one that I have going for the Etsy Bloggers Team. But hurry, they will expire quickly! http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list_west.php?room_id=54244

G..........oing Green

As the world becomes more and more conscious of the need to "go green" and be ecofriendly, I've found that these efficient, economical and practical dish scrubbies never go out of style. These sets are even made in green! Many folks tell me these are the best scrubbies ever, as they're tough on stuck on food and gentle to fine dishes and Teflon. They clean up quickly in the dishwasher or a bag in the washer and air dry in a snap, leaving no odors. They're offered in my Etsy shop as a set of two or six and can be made in many different colors and shapes. Sometimes I even crochet a dishcloth around these nylon net circles so they do double duty.
The environment and going "green" is being emphasized by the Etsy Bloggers Team as part of a blog carnival this month. Anything that we can do to save this precious planet, especially in a country that produces so many of the environmental problems, is not only our responsibility, but one the greatest gifts we can leave to our children and grandchildren.

It will be held in the Etsy labs and all are welcome to shop for great deals and wonderful products. I've made what we call a treasury of some of the items that will be featured. To see them larger, just click on

http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?room_id=36094 If you would like to shop at the trunk show and are not familiar with Etsy, just contact me at the email address in my profile! It should be a great time! I haven't chosen my items to sell yet, and if anyone has suggestions, just post them here! I do know that I'll be offering two free scrubbies with any purchase on Friday night as long as buyers type "trunk show" in "Notes to the Seller"!

The fabulous etsyblogger for January is Ruthie of http://roseworksjewelry.etsy.com One of her beautiful pieces is shown on the right. She has a variety of jewelry in her shop, ranging from hemp to fine crystals. She even made all the jewelry for her own wedding! I particularly enjoy this graceful pendant highlighting a necklace. T.........errific idea!

I'd love to have this striking necklace just for its looks, but is has another purpose as well. This month the etsy blogger group is featuring a blog and a shop which sells fabulous jewelry that is also baby friendly! Originally designed for nursing mothers, these necklaces, although not toys, are safe for babies to grab on to while they are nursing instead of Mom's hair, glasses or other clothing. Is that a fantastic idea, or what? What perfect and unique gift for a new mom! You can get to her very interesting blog and her shop, by clicking on the banner just under the sitemeter and above Katydid in the right hand column.
