T.........a Da!

February Goal Update:

So far, I'm doing well with my February goals. A final update will be given next week. As some of you may remember, one of my goals was to introduce at least one new product. Well, here it is!!

Friends have been testing these new, heavy duty scrubbies and the results have been a resounding thumbs up! They have two layers of netting and for that reason are thicker and sturdier than ever. Just like their cousins, the single ply scrubbies, they have multiple uses: dish scrubbing, pot scrubbing, glass cleaning, wind shield and car hood and grille cleaning, and heel exfoliating to name a few.

They also wash up in the dishwasher or in a bag in the washer and air dry, so they're eco friendly. They're made from nyon netting that is kind to fine dishes and glasses, but tough on stuck on food. They come in a variety of colors. More will be introduced later.

Now here is the best part....a giveaway!! Anyone who follow my blog or elects to follow my blog, can submit a new use for these heavy duty scrubbies. The person we feel comes up with the best use that is not already listed, will receive a set of these!

So enter as often as you like by posting a comment here (or notifying me personally) through Friday, March 5. The winner will be announced on March 6. Good luck!!

B.........log give away!

It's time to choose this year's Christmas ornament and since I cannot decide which one to make, you get the chance to choose and perhaps win one of these two mini pine needle baskets. Each is about 2 1/4" long and is tied with a red raffia bow. Basket #1 is an oval shape with a wide handle crocheted of the same natural raffia as the sewing.
Basket #2 is also oval, but is more of a tiny gathering basket with a narrower handle. It is shown with a tiny pine bough.
This is what you have to do to win the mini basket of your choice:

To be placed once in the drawing sign up to follow this blog by clicking on "Subscribe to" in the sidebar to the right. If you already are a follower you are automatically entered.

To be placed twice in the drawing, also comment here on which one you would select and why.

To be placed three times in the drawing, also visit my Etsy shop http://peacoxcreations.etsy.com/ and comment on one of the items or give me a suggestion.

This giveaway (did I mention free shipping as well) will run from today, June 28, and close on July 4 at 7:00pm CDT. My dear mother, who is 94 years old and as honest as the day is long, will draw the winner at that time and you will be notified immediately.

Thank you and good luck!!

S.........weet Saturday!

This morning I woke up to a very sweet surprise. The winner of my blog contest, niftyknits, posted about her winning on her blog! You can check it out here: http://niftyknits-somuchyarnsolittletime.blogspot.com/
Nifty lives in the UK and knits the most adorable critters, such as the meerkat and the lovely flower brooch pictured above. The neat thing about her is that she designs her own patterns! I do a little of that, and believe me, it takes a great deal of time, and in my case, a great deal of error!
You can get to her shop through her blog above or at http://niftyknits.etsy.com/ Why not visit her and see her other darlings!
I know what she means by "so much yarn, so little time" and I could add "so many pine needles, so much paper" as well! It's so much fun to wake up in the morning and have a myriad of projects that you can do. We recommend crafting and buying "handmade"!

I had my husband choose a number at random, and she is the one! If she contacts me within 24 hours, either by convo (this lady is an etsy seller from England), or by commenting here, her items will be on their way quickly!

Now here's the other great part! If anyone else WHO ALREADY ENTERED this contest replies to me, you will receive a free scrubbie. Please use my email, listed in my complete profile and then give me your snail mail address.

Thanks to all who entered and for your kind comments and great suggestions. I've already implemented a few of them!
